Bast was another one of the senior officers aboard the first Death Star. He appeared to be subordinate to General Ulric Tagge and an aide to Grand Moff Tarkin. His insignia indicate a rank approximating that of Major General. He is best known as the insightful officer who tried to inform Tarkin about the discovery of the Death Star's vulnerability to starfighter attack. Evidence from the STAR WARS Holiday Special proves that, like Lord Vader, Bast actually survived the battle station's destruction.

does stormtrooper armor provide enough life-support to survive in space for a short period of time?
also, it says that vader prized compitent officers that showed initiative, but as vice admiral thrawn later muses (in awful, awful prose) vader's whole-scale slaughter of imperial officers provided half the reason the empire crumbled.
vader = dick.
so kochis has time to speculate on the charger's d-line, but he can't tell us about the fucking life-support systems of storm trooper armor? kochis, leave the man-talk to the rest of us and comment only when the post is about nerd stuff that you build fake versions of.
According to the books, there were special Storm Troopers who had vaccum-sealable suits for space assault. I don't think the regular troopers had armor that advanced.
you wish! no, seriously, i wish.
