what happens to "the online you" when "the real you" dies?

your friends and fellow clanmembers organize a funeral. they post about it on boards and meet in a giant, snowy (and virtual) field. creatures of all races attend, and organize themselves into a giant line to pay their respects.

however, a rival clan reads the board. they know when and where the funeral will take place. since sincerety no longer factors into the way people think about things, they organize a massive assault force that tears through the hills and woods toward the remote location where the funeral is being held.

they explode into the clearing and horrifically slaughter all the attendees in a matter of moments. they camp and continue to destroy the attendees. you are dead, but the community of dickheads to which you once belonged lives on.

at least it is documented.
