The real question is wether or not the new OSX will run on non-apple-branded intel chips. Last i heard that still hadn't been confirmed. Granted, It'll be hacked around in short order, but it'd be easier if it was able to run out of the box.

Also, by "out of the box" i mean out of the retail box, not the hacked dev version that's floating around.

No, it definitely will not work out of the box. If it did, Apple might as well shoot itself in the head. See: NeXT.

Well, it's all predicated on you downloading an illegal leaked OS. Also I think the developer version is designed to crap out after a certain date...
