man, i tried to excavate a comment i (very vividly) remember making to zargon about the need for him to give the fuck up on nintendo. i spent 45 minutes pouring through the archive, but could not come up with it. shame, because it totally needs to be said again.
Hey, I love all video game systems. I just don't have the cash to spread my love around to everyone.
You guys, on the other hand, seem to be falling into the dreaded mold of the X-Box Fanboy. Soon you will be calling Nintendo fans fags, PlayStation fans homos, and everyone else cocksuckers. Also, you will wish that we had nuked Japan a couple extra times because they don't love Halo.
I will purchase you some college sports t-shirts to help get you properly attired for your new state of being.
Next thing we know we'll see them in EB, complaining aloud how they won't see "Grand Theft Auto: Anal Rape Junction" on the XBox because it's coming out on the Playstation first.
Still, i think the fanboyism is well represented across all systems in our group...you guys like xbox, joel's a nintendo guy, i prefer playstation...it's a reasonably even mix.
Granted, i don't forsee myself buying any of the new systems right when they come out...i've seen a bunch of interesting technology, but i haven't seen a single game that has really made me want to rush out and buy a new system yet.
I think it depends on the genre...some games are just more suited to different systems. Like, the glut of platformers i've been playing lately probably wouldn't be very good on a PC, at least without a gamepad. On the other hand first-person shooters totally blow on the console, so i can't really agree that *all* pc games are better, but still...
Admittedly, the only reason i have all 3 systems is that i got all 3 for the price of 1. The only one i actually bought was the PS2...i got the gamecube as an x-mas present, and i got the xbox at interact's liquidation for like, 50 bucks...
