there are approximately 2million voters in iowa. some are democrats and some are republicans. of those that are democrats, 240thousand participated in the caucus. this is, apparently, impressive:Turnout in Thursday's caucuses rose markedly, particularly for the Democrats, with 239,000 Democrats taking part - up from 124,000 in 2004.anyway, i'm still totally pissed that this tiny group of assholes doomed dean's presidential run, is the point of this. because, seriously, how is it possible to get invested in a race where the only positive outcome would be a contender for the first black or woman president?

WP estimates that there are 600,000 registered Democrats in Iowa, so that's nearly 40%. Of course, who knows how many independents chose to vote in the democrat primary.
Personally I'm still pissed at these jerks. 537 possibly fake voters!
Dean was on CNN the other day, and they brought up the "infamous scream." Dean was all "I think you guys in the media really made way to big a deal about that" and Wolf Blitzer (or whoever it was) was all "Hahaha... no." It was really awkward.
